A case study was done on a 400mm nb Pinch Valve that was put on trial at Sibanye Stillwater’s Dam 20 re-mining site.
The purpose of the trial was to test if the Red Roc pinch valve would operate successfully for a duration of a six month period. If that trial is successful then Sibanye Stillwater would consider using the Red Roc pinch valve in similar applications.
After six months of use the valve was standing up well to its environment and it has not been necessary to remove it from the line since the installation.
The Red Roc Pinch Valve has performed as it should and as a result, Sibanye Stillwater has installed another four valves on that site.
